Institute supports research project “Syncretic Cultural and Religious Practices and Customs of Bosniaks in Podrinje”

In 2016 the Academic Board of the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks decided to support the research project of Bosnian-born Australian scholar dr. Hariz Halilovich “Sinkretičke kulturno-religijske prakse i zavičajni običaji Bošnjaka Podrinja” (“Syncretic Cultural and Religious Practices and Customs of Bosniaks in Podrinje”). The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

New project – Memorialization of genocide in Jajce, Jezero and Šipovo

Novi projekat Instituta - Memorijalizacija genocida u Jajcu, Jezeru i Šipovu

Representatives from the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks, Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law and Majlis of the Islamic Community in Jajce held a meeting regarding a new research project. The meeting was held at the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks. At the meeting, it was agreed that a book titled „Živjeti i mrijeti s istinom – Genocid nad Bošnjacima Jajca, Jezera i Šipova“ will be written in cooperation with the three institutions. The project will start on 01.01. 2016 and be finalized by mid 2017.

Institute’s support for research project “Ulama family Mulaibrahimović-Muftić from Gradačac”

A contract was signed for the research project “Ulama family Mulaibrahimović-Muftić from Gradačac” between the Institute’s director dr. Dževada Šuško and mr. Nusret Kurjaković. 

The research subject is the ulama family  Mulaibrahimović-Muftić from Gradačac  which existed in the Gradačac region and beyond from the start of the XIX until the middle of  XX century. The research project is due to be completed by  31.12.2016.
