Zürcher Institut für interreligiösen Dialog, Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the European Abraham forum are organizing an International EAF Workshop: “When Religion became a Weapon …” Defending Religious-Cultural Values and Norms against Religious and Political Fundamentalisms. The workshop will be held in Sarajevo 26-28th November 2017. at Konrad Adenauer Foundation facilities, Sagrdžije 41 a. Dr. Dževada Šuško, the director of the Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks is one of the speakers. The program of the workshop will be published soon.
The Directorate for Education and Science of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faculty of Islamic Studies University of Sarajevo, Institute for Islamic Tradition of Bosniaks, Gazi Husrev-bey Library, Waqf Directorate, Oriental Institute, Bosniac Institute – Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation and Islamic Arts Magazine have organized an International symposium “Islamic Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The symposium was held in Gazi Husrev-bey’s Library on 25th October 2017.
Besides the symposium, an exhibition of Islamic arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina was displayed in Gazi Husrev bey’s Hanikah from 25th October till 1st November 2017.

7th October 2017 – The director of the Institute spoke on the topic: “Bosniaken als auththon europäische Muslime. Ein Einblick in die islamische Tradition der Bosniaken“ at the conference: “Islam in Deutschland: Herausforderungen, Chancen und Perspektiven”. The conference was held in Wiesbaden, and it was organized by IGBD. Maja Jurčić from the Ministry of internal affairs in Germany and Michael Blume from Baden-Württemberg region, prof. dr. Ertugrul Sahin from University Frankfurt, mr. Muhamed Jugo and mr. Muhamed Fazlović from the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Edin Atlagić from the Islamic community of Bosniaks in Germany also spoke at the conference.
